Back in October 2020, we launched Uflow Ltd. The first product we started to market was a 5L Silver keg kit. This sold like hotcakes in the run-up to Christmas of 2020, however, we hit our first stumbling block. Within weeks of our launch, WE SOLD OUT! The fresh stock was ordered and the sales carried on flowing in.
As Christmas approached we were having sleepless nights because the stock that was expected in November was still not with us. Fast forward to December 20th and part of the stock landed at HQ (Andy’s house). The other half was still in transit.
Operation Santa Klaus was put into full flow, we packaged up over 100 orders which we sent via our delivery partner, the other half we were still waiting for. Finally, on the 22nd of December, the other half of our stock landed. This time we had no chance of sending via Yodel or Parcel Force and guaranteeing their shiny new 5L Uflow Ltd kegs would arrive before Christmas day. The decision was made that Matt, Andy, and another two members of the team (Thank you Paul and Rebbecca) would pack up their cars full of Kegs and headed in different directions of the country. Over the 23rd and 24th, another 70+ kegs were hand delivered by the Uflow Ltd team.
With the Facebook Group gaining members and sales gaining steady momentum into 2021 the Uflow Ltd brand was growing into something more than a side hustle. We started doing some market research within our group which stood at around 3000 beer enthusiasts.
The most common question was, what can we fill the kegs with. The feedback was strongly pointing in the direction of somehow linking Uflow Ltd Kegs with breweries. In February 2021 we brought in Glen who went to work speaking to breweries and drumming up trade sales, then in May 2021, we brought on Phil to help grow our business and start bringing on new breweries as fill-up stations. The fill-up station idea quickly caught on and we stand now at over 100 brewery partnerships across the UK where Uflow Ltd customers could take their kegs and fill up directly from the brewery or tap room.
With a strong team put together, we are in the position of taking Uflow Ltd to new heights.
